In Hong Kong, breast cancer is the most common female cancer. In 2022, there were 5,182 new cases of female breast
cancer, accounting for 28.6% of all new cancers in women diagnosed in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Cancer Registry
estimates that approximately one in 14 women in Hong Kong would develop breast cancer before the age of 75.
Breast cancer is the third leading cause of female cancer deaths in Hong Kong. In 2023, a total of 834 women died of
the condition, representing 13.1% of all cancer deaths in women.
